Compliance with Hungarian Legislation – Prices and Exchange Rates

This section outlines the legal basis, calculation methodology and rules applicable to the display and conversion of Hungarian e-vignette prices, in accordance with the applicable Hungarian legislation and the requirements of the Hungarian e-vignette system.

1. Legal basis: ITM Decree 45/2020 (XI.28.) – official prices in HUF

The prices and conditions applicable to Hungarian e-vignettes are established by ITM Decree 45/2020 (XI.28.), as currently in force.

The official prices:

• are mandatory for the sale of e-vignettes;

• are officially established and expressed in Hungarian forints (HUF);

• are published by Magyar Közút Nonprofit Zrt. – Útdíj Üzletág, the entity currently responsible for the relevant road toll activities.

2. Display of prices in HUF

The official price of each e-vignette is expressed in HUF.

The amount displayed in Romanian lei (RON) results from the conversion of the official HUF price using the exchange rate displayed on the website.

This allows customers to transparently verify both the official e-vignette price and the exchange rate applied for conversion.

3. Payments on RPay.eu are processed in RON

Sales through RPay.eu are carried out by ABI ROPLATI S.R.L., a company registered in Romania and an authorized reseller of Hungarian e-vignettes.

Payments are processed in Romanian lei (RON), based on the official e-vignette price expressed in HUF and the exchange rate displayed at the time of the transaction.

4. Exchange rate and conversion transparency

The HUF → RON conversion uses the exchange rate publicly displayed on the website.

The following information is presented transparently:

• the exchange rate applied;

• the source of the exchange rate;

• the date of validity of the exchange rate.

This allows the customer to directly verify the calculation between the official HUF price and the resulting amount in RON.

5. Calculation example

Example – D1 national e-vignette, valid for 10 days – 2026 tariff

Official price: 6,900 HUF
Exchange rate used in this example: 1 HUF = 0.01654 RON
Calculation: 6,900 × 0.01654
Result: 114.13 RON

The amount in RON results from converting the official HUF price using the applicable exchange rate displayed on the website at the time of the transaction.

The exchange rate and RON amount shown above are provided for illustrative purposes only. The actual amount in RON is determined by the exchange rate displayed at the time the transaction is made.
